Reviews praise Emma Frost’s character in ‘X-Men: First Class’
Wednesday, May 25th, 2011In a previous review, we heard January Jones doesn’t do much as Emma Frost, but a couple reviewers from This Is Fake DIY and Dog Ate My Wookie took positive note at Emma Frost’s character:

A revelation is how well Emma Frost is handled. Blatant fanboy eye-candy, the skimpily-clothed and overtly sexual character is shown to be a strong survivor in Jones’ hands. There are some brilliant moments of manipulation and deception, but First Class throws in some deliberate touches of sexism to remind us of the period…

January Jones could very easily have been the buxom blonde wearing skimpy attire just because she’s pretty but even Emma Frost seems to get a character arc stronger than the protagonists of many a film, the same goes fro the silent Jason Flemyng and G-Man Oliver Platt; it’s just a well cast and well handled ensemble piece which of course is integral to the balance of the X-Men films.

However, there is no definitive answer about Emma Frost’s importance, so make sure you watch “X-Men: First Class” to find out yourself!
