Madhouse’s X-Men Anime: Emma Frost!
Wednesday, March 9th, 2011
Emma Frost (Kaori Yamagata) will appear in Madhouse’s X-Men Anime, which is written by Warren Ellis. The casting, story and artwork are influenced by Whedon’s “Astonishing X-Men.” The show takes place a year after the death of Jean Grey and the disband of the X-Men. When Hisako goes missing, Professor X sends the X-Men to Japan, where they encounter a supremacist group called the U-Men.
Emma Frost appears in neither the promotional images nor the trailer, however.
According to Marvel.com, “the new series will be produced by Madhouse for Marvel Entertainment in association with Sony Pictures Television, Inc, and will make their exclusive U.S. TV Premiere on G4 in 2011.”
