‘Astonishing X-Men: Torn’ motion comic gets the green light

This is arguably one of Emma Frost’s best story arcs when she went a little cuckoo in the head (under the influence of a Grant Morrison villain) and psychologically picked apart the X-Men. Joss Whedon and John Cassaday’s “Astonishing X-Men: Torn” will be packaged in motion comic format by Marvel Knights Animation on August 2012.

Erica Schroeder voices Emma Frost, but we have yet to find out who voices Sebastian Shaw, Cassandra Nova and Ellie Phimister from her past.

Motion comic description from Amazon

Astonishing X-Men: Torn motion comic

If you thought Gifted and Dangerous were full of shocks and surprises, hold onto your eyeballs… because you haven’t seen anything yet! Emma Frost’s erratic behavior has the X-Men spinning in a non-stop downward spiral. Will an unlikely union be the final straw? After secretly lying in wait for months, the new Hellfire Club makes its move!

Pre-order it the motion comic at Amazon for $13.49.

Meanwhile, “Gifted” will be released in novel format the month after the release of the “Torn” motion comic. It would be great to see the entire “Astonishing X-Men” run collected into novel format, as it seems the motion comics will get the entire run, too.
